Special Golf Memories
I got to play golf at Pine Valley in NJ once, at Pebble Beach in CA once, and at St. Andrews in Scotland four times. Thank you, God. It was really enjoyable. Pause your cursor on the pictures.

Pine Valley

Pebble Beach 18th

St. Andrews
My scores at Pebble Beach and St Andrews (did not break 100) are in my golf handicap software program. The 7th hole at Pebble Beach was an exciting one to play. There were no cameras allowed at Pine Valley. I was so excited that I forgot to get the scorecard from that round. IT WAS A VERY HIGH SCORE! I think it was 118. On the 3rd hole (a par 3 181 yards), I asked my caddy what club I should hit. Believe it or not the caddy said, "It doesn't matter." He saw what I did on two holes and decided that I was really bad. I remember being very nervous and could not relax.
Thanks to the Wallaces
Polly's sister Carolyn was an accomplished golfer. The Wallace and Yarnall families decided to have an annual family golf competition starting in 1997. We played various formats to win a Duffer's Cup trophy. In a picture taken after the 2001 tournament you can see how Tom enjoyed it when the YARNALL TEAM won.
Here is the plate on the trophy.
